About Luminaire
Luminaire is an annual student fine arts exhibition, hosted by the University of Florida Student Honors Organization.
Our mission is to highlight the various talents, passions, and ideas present within our entire student body, allowing students to embrace individualism, and giving them a chance to shine in front of their peers.
To show our appreciation towards students' passions in the fine arts, the University of Florida Honors Program is sponsoring a total of $750 worth of scholarships to be dispersed among three especially talented artists. While art is an intrinsic pursuit, being able to use it to help pay for school doesn't hurt either.
Are You an Artist?
As defined by the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, art is "anything created with imagination and skill... and expresses important ideas or feelings."
Any student, no matter their major or interests, can be an artist, whether it be through pencil, paint, sculpture, graphic design, music, dance, or any other form of expression.
